Vintage Large Navajo Silver Turquoise 10 Stone Chunky Nugget Bracelet 109 grams

This Item: Vintage large Navajo cuff bracelet - sterling silver with 10 large turquoise nugget stones. Measurement: Inside measurement of 6" plus a 1" non-flexible gap, for a total wrist circumference of about 7. The width of this cuff measures 2" at center and the terminals measure 1/2" wide. The stones measure on average 3/4"-7/8" in the longest dimension.

Weight: 109 grams 3.5 troy oz. Hallmarks/Stamp : Unsigned - no marks - tests as sterling silver. Condition: Very good - the stones are tightly set and undamaged Curvature of this bracelet is still good. Comments: I can easily imagine this cuff having been made in the 1970's/80's when there was quite a demand for lots of turquoise in the jewelry, demand for visual impact over quality/design of silver workmanship.

One may notice that the lay of stones on this bracelet is not centered on the curvature of the square wire continuous rib (photo #6), and this is likely by design, perhaps for visibility/wear-ability concerns of the stones. These big bold vintage cuffs have become somewhat scarce on the secondary marketplace, and I remember paying quite a bit for this one myself - too big for me, though - it swims on my wrist!
