Vintage Large Art Deco Swiss Sterling Silver Rectangular Wristwatch 1925
Large Sized Silver Rectangular Gents Swiss Wristwatch London 1925. A high quality large sized silver gents wristwatch with finely engraved sides and fixed lugs.
Superb condition that appears unused. As can be seen from the photographs of the sterling silver case it is crisp and unworn! The case measures 25mm x 30mm (36mm with lugs) which is substantial on the wrist.
Quality 15 jewel Swiss made movement as supplied to all the main jewellers of the day such as Harrods, Mappin & Webb and Asprey etc... The case is marked with importers mark GS and import marks for London corresponding to 1925.Case stamped with serial number 396643 to back (see photo). One lug wire also hallmarked for sterling silver (see photo).
The untouched (unrestored) silvered dial enamelled with black decorative Arabic numerals. Square subsidiary seconds dial inset at 6 oclock. Original blued steel Cathedral style hands. New long pig skin strap with parallel sides. Fully serviced in the past 4 months and keeping excellent time. It loses 1 minute per 24 hours.
