Vintage F. L. Natachu Silver Inlay Large Sun God Belt Buckle

  

A very well-made Sunface (Sun Father [Yatoka]) belt buckle by the Zuni artist F. The sunface (or face of the Sun Father) is made of stone-to-stone inlays of turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl & jet; the rays or "feathers" surrounding Sun Father's face are channel inlaid segments of jet & turquoise. The inlay is flush with the surface of the silver buckle.

The buckle is signed F. Natachu" and stamped "sterling for silver content. The Belt buckle is 2.5 inches wide by 1.8 inches tall and will accomodate a 1.3 inches wide leather belt.
