Rare Vintage Stainless Steel Rolex Large Bubbleback OVETTONE Datejust Watch, Model 6305-2 With Original Box and Papers, Factory Original! This is the first ever bubbleback we have procured that had original box, papers, and band! GUARANTEED TO BE ORIGINAL ROLEX.

Prices are rising on these collectible pieces. The Watch has an Original Rolex Stainless Steel Large Bubbleback Case with an Original Rolex Cross Crown and a Stainless Steel Crenelated Bezel and a factory original Roulette date wheel with a Case Serial # 140XXX. The Watch has an Original Rolex Matte White Dial with silver arrow hour markers and luminescent dots, the Dial is in good Condition, and may have been re-finished.

We observe the dial is factory rolex, but not aware if the dial has ever been refinished, original owner said no, but assume it has been refinished so there are no surprises! Date wheel flips over clean every twenty four hours, and when the hour hand passes 12 midnight without issue. For those that don't know, Rolex bubble backs of this vintage are not quick-sets, meaning, there is not a seperate gear to quickly change the date, you must advance the hands twenty four hours to change the date.

Crown screws securely into the tube, however, we note wear on the inner crown threads. We do not guarantee or infer that this watch is waterproof or water resistant. The springs in this band as noted need to be replaced or rebuilt, there are companies that do this, however, most will put on a nice leather strap. You may want to replace the tube and put on a new mineral crystal or whatever, however, many collectors may choose to leave the watch as is, as do we. We did re-polish the stainless steel case and mineral crystal and most of the scratches are gone, or reduced to minor scratches, they are hard to see, but some are present.

This watch is running and tracking time, but keep in mind, it is, or nearly is one half century in age. It is our opinion, that we have priced the watch fairly, though you may have another opinion and we encourage all buyers to review completed previous completed auctions and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing this watch.
