Original Large Vintage Bucherer 41 Jewel ROUTEMASTER working estate find
This is very honest original large sized gents classic "Routemaster" wristwatch by Bucherer and has lots of wear and character but a superb original dial and original hands, it was made as a watch to look just like an early Datejust Rolex with the engine turned bezel and "Roulette date" in Red/Black alternate numbers, from a few feet it looks just like a big early Rolex Datejust model but its not... The Bucherer watches are good quality & now seem to be getting collectible in their own way, this needs a new glass which is cracked and the case needs a good clean up as well as the inside which has dirt but the movement looks super smart and the watch is working well. The watch is seemingly in good working condition but has not been extensively tested and has obviously sat in a box or draw for decades without regular use so I would recommend its looked over come what may & obviously needs a new glass/plexi. A great watch that has just come from very long term ownership and has the original "Routemaster" dial in great original condition, we asking what I have seen the dial alone sell for in years past, a great project for someone to restore now.
