This listing is for a large mid century Zuni cuff bracelet, handcrafted from Sterling Silver and Turquoise. Handcrafted by an unidentified Zuni Artist, this vintage cuff features the brightest most vivid blue colored Turquoise we've ever seen!! The stones are clustered over a very large round bed of silver and appear to be Blue Gem Turquoise.
The stones are in excellent condition and rest securely in straight bezels. Just below the stones, the silver has a very dark, nearly black, oxidized finish creating a beautiful contrast with the brightly colored stones. Twisted rope and hand poured droplets accompany the turquoise creating a classic Zuni design. The face is curved to hug the wrist with matching side flanks to the East and West. A strong heavy gauge split shank supports the face and side flanks with end caps applied for a comfortable wearing experience.
The cuff is solid, sturdy, and pleasingly comfortable when worn on the correct sized wrist. Please read the measurements and know your wrist size for this piece as adjusting the gap is not recommended. The gap could be adjusted but, it would need to be done very carefully with heavy force.
There is no signature or sterling stamp, which is common of the era however, the silver has been tested and proves to be sterling. This Zuni cuff will make a great addition to any collection of Native American jewelry. Wear with pride and enjoy before handing it down in the future.
Weight - 91.8 Grams. Inner Circumference End to End - 5-3/8. Gap - Currently set at just over 1-1/4.. Each end could be slightly pulled apart or pushed in but, only with heavy force. This is a sturdy solid piece and the gap would need to be adjusted very carefully.
Total Size of Cuff Including Gap - 6-5/8" Should fit a wrist between 6-1/4" and 6-5/8 comfortably. Face Measurements - The face measures 2-3/4" tall by 2-3/4" wide (not including the side flanks) The side flanks measure 1-3/8" tall by about 7/8" wide.
