Measured internally with calipers, it is 7-3/4, so I average it out as a size 7-1/2. Outer face of ring is about 1-7/8" x 1-1/2".
The stone itself measures 1-1/2" x 1-1/8". Note: On extra large rings, a size measurement from a tapered jewelers mandrel is often inaccurate to the low side. This ring should reasonably fit a size 7-3/4 and possibly an 8. I believe this to the be genuine Native American crafted, most likely Navajo made. Hallmarks/Stamp : Not stamped by maker. There are four inscribed letters (EMZR), which are likely what is called'trader's code' - inscribed marks made by a pawn shop owner for inventory reference. The turquoise is tightly set with no damage or cracks. Ring shank is solidly attached and finger hole still quite round. The shank appears to be constructed of hand-pulled silver wire, with the middle wire also being hand-twisted. Comments: I belong to several Native American jewelry groups on FB and also a'turquoise enthusiast' group as well.Much time and good discussion is spent on the quality and origins of turquoise stones along with the jewelry itself. One important consensus is that it is virtually impossibly to represent or guarantee a stone's origin to a specific named turquoise mine without provenance. After that it comes down to an educated guess. In the case of the turquoise of this particular ring, my guess is that this stone might be from a Hubei province turquoise mine in China.
I love the singular'lightning strike' appearance of the matrix in this wonderful stone - it's a show stopper. Guaranteed to be original & authentic as described.
