Georgian extra Large Rose Cut Diamond & Enamel Brooch

  
This is an amazing brooch. It dates from the late 1700's early 1800s. It is crafted from silver with many man many rose cut diamonds and enamel details.

I fell in love with the butterfly on the left and then the diamonds... These diamonds are so clean for old rose cuts.

This brooch many have been a hair ornament at one point of which a pin backing was led soldiered on to the back. It is such an intricate and three dimension piece. I placed it on a chain by attaching a jump ring to the back. I thought it made a superb pendant!!!!!!

This brooch is crafted from many stems which are all soldiered and placed perfectly. The brooch features one very large flower which as covered in rose cut diamonds. In addition to the large flower are the foliage of the flower bouquet which is also covered in rose cut diamonds. The right upper corned features a sweet yellow spotted enamel butterfly with a diamond belly.

At the bottom are two dangles with matching striped enamel to the fly. The drops (dangles) features tulips and tiny rose cut diamonds. One replacement is noted on the tulip which is a brilliant cut. Each diamonds is mounted in silver with a foil backing except for the dangles. There is very old soldier on the back of the dangle and of course the pin backing.

No hallmarks were located but tested as sterling. The overall condition for this brooch is great for its age of well of 200 years old, the enamel on the butterfly has wear/chipping, please zoom in for your further interest in condition.

Length Width and Depth: 71 mm x 82 mm x 20 mm. Center diamond in large flower: 6.7 mm x 6.4 mm (Estimated at very roughly about 1 Carat +/-). Total Very Estimate Carat Weight of all Diamonds: 3 carats +/- (These rose cuts are so hard to measure; If you need more specifics on measurements, please message me with your request). Butterfly: 15.6 x 18 mm. Dangles: about 31 mm in length. Of course I honor this policy. Please message me first and I will do my best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
